† sensor signal As governor pressure changes, the transducer voltage signal varies with it. At zero PSI governor pressure, the transducer voltage signal will be about volts. When governor pressure is high — maximum pressure is 100 PSI — signal voltage will be high; about to volts. IMPORTANT: If governor pres-
Aug 16, 2021· Common Problem #1: Solenoid & Sensor. “Generally when truck owners complain of the truck getting stuck in first gear in 47RE electronic controlled transmissions, there is an electrical problem in the valve body with the governor pressure solenoid,” says Terry. The solenoid rapidly energizes and de-energizes to create governor pressure ...
Oct 12, 2015· P1763 - Governor Pressure Sensor Voltage Too High This code is refer for the governor pressure sensor which is located in the valve body of the transmission. If getting power to the sensor and the wires are not open or shorted then the sensor will need to be replaced. GOVERNOR SOLENOID AND PRESSURE SENSOR REMOVAL
Aug 29, 2008· The Governor pressure sensor is mounted in the governor body. The body is bolted to the lower side of the transfer plate, which is attached to the valve body inside of the transmission If you need to replace it, I would also replace the transducer at the same time, you do not want to have to take the transmission pan off again to do the same job
Jul 19, 2013· The throttle body is clean, IAC is newer, the last resort is this governor pressure sensor. So before I go out and buy the MOPAR trans fluid and a new sensor, does anyone have a word(s) of advice? I know to drain, drop pan, remove filter, remove sensor housing, remove "transducer" the the gov press sensor.
Apr 19, 2021· Where is the boost pressure sensor located? intake pipe. What causes boost pressure sensor failure? And since the turbo boost sensor is exposed to the intake charge, the sensor itself is prone to dirt, sludge, and contamination. If the sensor is covered in thick dirt, it won’t be able to measure the air volume in the intake manifold.
Jan 25, 2016· Governor pressure is similar to throttle pressure in that it is a derivative of line pressure but it is generated relative to the speed of the vehicle. Normally the governor is in or near the tail shaft of the transmission. The governor has a set of fly weights (like centripetal advance in a distributor).
Sep 04, 2010· The governor pressure sensor is located on the governor that is attached to the valve body. You just drop the transmission pan and filter and you will see the governor and valve body. I recommend replacing both the governor pressure sensor and the governor pressure sensor solenoid next to it. Here are diagrams:

Aug 16, 2021· Re: P0868 governor pressure sensor voltage too high. My understanding is the 04s don't have a separate tcm. The trans is controlled thru the pcm, which is almost unheard of to go bad. Trust me, I scratched my head for almost a month, chasing "loose grounds" and "frayed wires" and running impedance and continuity checks on everything.
Nov 08, 2012· Governor Solenoid and Pressure Sensor. So I bought the parts, filter, new gasket and ATF4 fluid and went to a good local transmission shop in my town. It sounds to me like this is a common problem on the 46RE's and these parts usually solve it. I had the owner of the shop change everything out today and things went fine, but the problem appears ...
Apr 20, 2021· How do I know if my governor pressure solenoid is bad? Common symptoms/transmission problems associated with a bad governor pressure sensor include, poor downshift timing, hanging in 3rd or 2nd gear on down shifts, delayed upshifts, hanging in 1st or 2nd gear on upshifts, 3rd gear limp mode.
The governor pressure sensor which came originally was incorrect, even though the governor pressure solenoid (and gasket) were correct. One quick email and it was sorted out within literally five minutes. Two days later the correct sensor arrived. I am very pleased with seller. Will certainly do business again in the future.
Aug 16, 2008· Up to20%cash back· 2002 Dodge: cargo..Governor pressure sensor..voltage..solenoid My son has a 2002 Dodge Ram van 1500/cargo with a transmission problem. The onboard computer says it is suffering from a code P1762: Governor pressure sensor offset improper voltage.
RE: Governor Pressure Sensor IP: Logged Message: Have a 1997 Dodge Dakota SLT.(automatic) Truck has no power taking off in 1st gear. code reads P1763, which says governor pressure sensor input too high. Governor pressure increases with vehicle speed. Older transmissions had mechanical governors that consisted of springs, centrifugal weights, and a spool valve to control this pressure. Electronic transmissions use the vehicle speed sensor signal for vehicle speed. Governor pressure causes a transmission to upshift, and throttle pressure causes ...
P1757 - Governor Pressure Above 3 PSI When Request Is 0 PSI P1762 - Governor Pressure Sensor Offset Improper Voltage Both codes are refered at the governor pressure sensor; I am 99% certain that is bad. Just replace it. Check the voltage on the Light Green/White wire at pin 29 in the white PCM connector with key ON, engine OFF (KOEO).
Dec 10, 2012· If you look closely at the governor pressure solenoid, you can see the black metal powder residue build up around the center of it. ... goes around the solenoid as my D is a '98 which doesn't have the new plastic transducer that replaced our old canister pressure sensor. They went to the new plastic transducer on the 2000 and up models ...
Nov 16, 2011· controlled by the governor solenoid, operated by the PCM will control the shifting of gears at the appropriate rpm. Note: There is a governor pressure sensor in the transmission that sends back a voltage to the PCM telling it what the fluid pressure is at any instance. There is also a transmission temperature sensor that tells the PCM the

TCC solenoid (torque converter clutch) and Pressure sensor Temperature sensor There is also a transmission relay (located in the PDC). The inlet side of the governor pressure solenoid VALVE is exposed to normal transmission line pressure.
